Reelio is one person, so six desk names pointing at six copies of the same inbox would be theatre. There is one mailbox, a real person reads it, and it is not a routing form. Put the section heading below in your subject line and it gets sorted correctly.

The response times under each heading are real and they differ, because a miscredited photograph genuinely does get answered faster than a partnership enquiry.

News tips and editorial

Story tips, documents, datasets, pitches, and anything you think we should be covering. Tell us what you have and how you came by it. If you need to talk before you send anything, say that instead and we will find a way.

We are a small operation covering US film, television and streaming. We do not cover music, gaming, sports or celebrity lifestyle, so a pitch in those areas will get a polite no rather than a slow maybe.

We cannot offer a secure-drop system yet. If your material is sensitive, do not send it from a work account or a work device, and email us first to agree on a channel.

Response: within 3 business days. Pitches that need a longer look get an acknowledgment in that window and a real answer inside 10 business days.

Corrections

If something we published is wrong, this is the fastest route to getting it fixed. Include the article URL, the specific sentence, and what the correct information is. A link to a primary source speeds it up considerably.

We check every request. If we were wrong, we correct the article, sign and date the note at the foot of it, and list the correction in the public index at /corrections. If we were right, we write back and show you our source. Either way you hear from us.

Response: within 24 hours. Corrections of material fact are published as soon as they are verified.

Rights and permissions

For photographers, agencies, studios, distributors and rights holders.

Use this address if you believe an image, a clip reference or a quotation on Reelio is used without permission or credited incorrectly. Send the article URL and the asset in question and we will pull our sourcing record for it, which includes the tier, the license, the rights holder, the credit string and the acquisition date. Every image on this site has one.

If we got it wrong, we fix the credit or remove the asset. We would much rather hear from you than from your lawyer, and we treat this queue as the most urgent one we run.

Response: within 24 hours, including weekends.

For formal copyright takedown notices under the DMCA, use the designated agent process on our DMCA page instead. Sending a notice to the rights address will not invalidate it, but the agent route is faster and it is the one with a statutory clock on it.

Advertising and business

Advertising, licensing, syndication, data partnerships and anything commercial.

One thing this address cannot buy: coverage. We do not sell articles, reviews, rankings, guest posts, sponsored placements, link insertions or subfolder rentals, and every one of those requests gets the same answer. See Ethics for why the prohibition is written down rather than assumed.

Postal mail is checked weekly, so email is faster for anything time-sensitive.

What we cannot do

• Pass messages, scripts or fan mail to actors, filmmakers or their representatives. We have no such channel.
• Confirm or deny unpublished reporting.
• Remove a factually accurate article at a subject's request. If it is inaccurate, write to corrections and we will fix it.
• Provide screeners, press credentials or festival access to third parties.
