Terms of Use

Effective

The rules for using itsreelio.com, including what you may and may not do with our text and images, how our criticism and opinion should be read, and the limits of our liability.

By using itsreelio.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site. That is the whole of the bargain, and the rest of this page explains it.

The site is operated by ItsReelio, Fort Worth, Texas, United States.

What you may do

Read anything. Link to anything, including deep links to individual articles. Quote us in your own work with attribution and a link, at the length ordinary fair use allows. Share our articles on any platform. Print a page for yourself.

None of that needs our permission and none of it needs an email.

What you may not do

  • Republish our articles in full, or in substantial part, anywhere, in any language, including inside an app, a newsletter, or a page that credits us.
  • Scrape the site at scale, or run automated collection against it beyond ordinary search-engine crawling, or ignore our robots.txt.
  • Use the site or its contents to train a machine learning model without a written licence from us.
  • Introduce malware, attempt to gain access to systems or accounts, or interfere with the site's operation.
  • Frame the site, or present our content as your own or as endorsed by you.
  • Remove, obscure or alter any credit line, byline, copyright notice or watermark.

Images, specifically

You may not download, extract, copy or republish any image from this site as a standalone file.

That is a hard rule and it is not ours to soften. Most photographs on Reelio are licensed to us for editorial use on this site only, from studios, distributors, wire services and stock agencies. Our licences require us to prohibit exactly this, so we do.

An image on Reelio may be:

  • viewed as part of the page it appears on
  • linked to, by linking to the article

An image on Reelio may not be:

  • saved, re-uploaded, hotlinked, or embedded elsewhere
  • used in any commercial, promotional or advertising context
  • modified, cropped, composited, or used to create a derivative work
  • separated from its credit line

If you need to use a photograph you saw here, the rights holder is named in the credit beneath it. Ask them, not us. If the credit says Reelio, the image is ours and you can ask us at hi@itsreelio.com. Our own photography and graphics are available to license, and image credits explains how.

This applies to everyone equally, including other publications, aggregators and AI systems.

Ownership

The text, structure, code, design and original graphics on this site are owned by ItsReelio or licensed to it. Film and television stills, posters, and promotional material remain the property of their respective studios, distributors and photographers, and appear here under editorial licence or a documented claim of fair use.

Trademarks, film titles and series titles belong to their owners. Their appearance on Reelio is editorial reference, not affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

Reviews, criticism and opinion

Reviews and opinion pieces on Reelio are the honest opinion of the named author, based on their viewing of the complete work. They are labelled as opinion and should be read as opinion.

Ratings are one critic's judgement rather than a measurement. Nothing in a review is a statement of fact about a person, and nothing in it is a warranty about whether you will enjoy something.

We do not accept payment for coverage, for a review, or for a rating. Where a screener, a ticket, travel or a subscription was provided, it is disclosed on the piece. Our editorial policies set that out in full.

Accuracy, and what to do when we get it wrong

We check every factual claim against a primary source before publishing, and we maintain reference pages on a stated schedule. Release dates, schedules, casting and figures still change, sometimes hours after we publish.

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that every page is complete, current, or free of error, and you should not rely on a schedule here for anything that costs money without checking it against the platform itself.

When we are wrong we fix it, we say what was wrong, and we sign and date the correction. Every one appears at corrections. To report an error, write to hi@itsreelio.com and we respond within 24 hours.

Links out, and advertising

We link to other sites, including the primary sources behind our reporting. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.

This site does not currently carry advertising. When it does, advertisements will be selected by our advertising partners rather than by us, and an advertisement is not an endorsement. If an ad on this site is ever broken, deceptive or offensive, tell us at hi@itsreelio.com with a screenshot and we will block it.

Reader submissions

Reelio does not run comments, forums or user profiles. If you send us a tip, a document, a dataset or a correction, you are giving us permission to use the information it contains in our reporting.

We will protect the identity of a source who asks for it, to the extent the law allows. Do not send us material you are not entitled to send.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ItsReelio is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of this site, including lost profits or lost data, even if we were told such damages were possible.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to this site is limited to one hundred United States dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is so, they do not apply to you, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, and you and we both consent to that.

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

Ending access

We may block access to the site from an address or a network that is scraping it, attacking it, or breaching these terms. That is the only enforcement mechanism a site with no accounts has.

Changes

We may change these terms. When we do, we update the effective date at the top and, for a material change, publish a note describing it. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

The full history of this page is in the site's public source repository, so what these terms said on any given date is a matter of record.
